I have been living on the good ole nostalgia lane lately. Netflix and Strong Black Lead released 7 of our classic black sitcoms a few weeks ago, we had the legendary Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight verzuz the other day. It’s been a good time. Let’s talk about those black sitcoms. We got Girlfriends, Moesha, The Game, Half & Half, The Parkers, One on One and most importantly, SISTER, SISTER!!! Y’all the joy I screamed when I saw Sister, Sister listed. It’s easily one of my favorite shows from my childhood. I haven’t seen these episodes in years, but it amazes me how much I remember. Watching them brings back so many memories from when I was younger. Good times! Watching the Verzuz battle the other day with Patti and Gladys made me think of the days when my family would throw parties at either my house or one of my aunt’s and me and all my cousins would be in the backroom! We weren’t allowed out of the room to be in “grown folks” business but the music still blasted through the house. Hearing Patti and Glady’s talk made me think of the days when I was younger listening to my mom and aunts. There is so much craziness going on right now. So much hurt, so much pain. It’s nice sometime to sit back and remember good memories and feelings. Let’s Talk. Do you plan on watching any of the shows listed? What’s a good Verzuz battle that would help you go down memory lane? Until next time. From Jaime With Love
