Hello Fall! Goodbye Summer! Fall is my favorite time of the year, followed up by Winter (only because technically Christmas falls 4 days after Fall ends) So today’s Talk Tuesday is all about why I love Fall.
- The weather. Yes it takes some time for the weather to actually change down here in the South, but when it does it’s great! We go from 100 plus weather to mid 70’s with the best breeze.
- The Fair! While sometimes I don’t make it every year. I have gone to the fair more times than I can count. I may not go on all the rides anymore (because honestly I don’t have the patience at 34 that I did when I was 16 or 17 to stand in a line for an hour or so for a 1 minute ride) but I still love it. The food, the games, running into old friends you may not have seen since high school, the music and did I mention the food? Elephant Ears anyone? Fried Snickers?
- I love the weather when I am out and about, but at the same time, I can’t help but to love being home, curled up with a blanket, candles going and watching my favorite movies like Practical Magic, Brown Sugar, The LakeHouse or Love and Basketball or any of my many countless movies that puts you in that fall/winter mood.
- My Mom’s Chilli! She only makes it once a year in a big pot and I always look forward to it!
- The Holidays! You get Halloween; which gives you the leftover candy you don’t give out to all the kids. You get great movies (which I will probably do a post later on around that time) You get Thanksgiving; where you get to spend even more time with the family you normally see and sometimes get to see aunts and cousins you haven’t seen in awhile and of course all that great food! And while technically like I said earlier you get Christmas 4 days after Fall officially ends I think it’s fine to lump it all in lol
Let’s Talk! Is fall your favorite season? If so tell me all the reasons you love it.
I love fall sooo much. It was one of my Mother’s favorite holidays. I live for the fluffy sweaters and any and everything scary lol. Everyday is holloween in my house. Thanksgiving is cool but the scary stuff, now that’s where its at for me. Lol!
Yes to the fluffy sweaters. We definitely have to get them in while we can though. Those sweater weather days are few and far between lol. Love that everyday is Halloween for you! Too funny! I do love a good scary movie too.
