One of my friends asked the question the other day “Are you pursuing your heart’s desire? Have you answered your call to creativity?” I had to answer her honestly and say No I don’t think I am. Then I stumbled on this quote and thought it was a perfect follow up to that. Life is short, or life is long depending on how you look at it, but both can be looked at in a positive way. Life is short so you should do what you love while you have the chance or Life is long so why would you want to spend your life doing something you hate? I mean I feel like me and my girlfriends are always laughing and saying “We are not here just to pay these bills!” lol and honestly it’s true. I mean bills, are bills, are bills. They aren’t going anywhere. They wouldn’t be so bad if you had more money, but never the less they will always be there. Honestly, there are times where I feel just like this quote. I am either stressing about my bills, or stressing about my weight. Where is the living?Where is the making time for your passion and the things you love? Is pursing your dream really that “unrealistic?” Sometimes I feel like it is. Like I told my friend who asked the question, sometimes I feel stuck and unsure on how to begin, or where to start. Then she reminded me that I had already started! Often times, I think we are stuck for so long that even when we begin we sometimes don’t recognize it or give ourselves credit. I am no where near where I think I should be or want to be regarding this, but hopefully when I have those moments of “there’s got to be more to life” I remember that moment I decided to do this and spark something in me to continue to do more. Let’s Talk, what are some things you wish you were doing more that you aren’t doing because you feel like you are stuck? P.S. Shout out to Christine, for giving me the inspiration for this week’s Talk Tuesday!
