Are you a fan of “The Girl on the Train” or “Gone Girl?” If so, it’s time to add another “Girl” to your lineup! “The Girl Before” by JP Delaney is a suspenseful book with different layers. It’s about 2 girls who both lived in a house full of rules, but at different times. As you follow along with both of their stories, you start to see similarities in their lives while also being intrigued by the owner of the house and the rules he has created for it’s occupants. One thing I really liked about the book was actually the style of writing. When you are writing from different point of views, I think it is important not to stay too long in one person’s world. Sometimes you read books with different POV’s and the author spends so much time in one world that by the time you get back to the next character you’ve forgotten where the other character left off. However, in this case just enough time is spent with each character. If you enjoy suspense and who dun it story lines you should definitely give this one a whirl! From Jaime With Love
