I’m back baby for what feels like the 50th time, but I’m back lol. It’s February so that means my annual tradition of rewatching Sex and the City. Let’s talk about Season 2, episode 4 “They Shoot Single People, Don’t They?”
In this episode Carrie writes “Is it better to fake it than to be alone?” So that’s what I will be writing about for this post. We have women all around the world being told to either lower their standards or they will end up alone, especially if they are over the age of 30. So it does make you wonder; should you fake it in order to find companionship? Should you look the other way about certain things as long as it’s not a major red flag? Are you being unrealistic about your standards and at some point should you lower them? As a single woman I can admit that there are times you meet someone and they aren’t necessarily what you are looking for and you start to think “well is it so bad if he doesn’t have this or that” someone is better than no one right? Well right now, the answer is hell no. Don’t settle ladies; you will find the one that meets your standards and vice versa. Happy Valentine!
