Insecure Talk Tuesday

Talk Tuesday

Hello to my readers. I really appreciate all that are still reading and tagging along with me. I skipped last week’s Talk Tuesday on Insecure, because I didn’t think last week’s episode was much to talk about, so I decided to combine episode 4 and 5. So Let’s get to talking. Season 5, episode 4, Faulty Okay?! we see Issa and Nathan working their way back to their groove after Issa cried in his mouth. They essentially hang out all day at an event that Nathan is putting on and by the end of the episode they realize that they don’t want to just be friends. Now I personally am no fan of Issa and Nathan but nevertheless, here we are. Fast-forward to Season 5, episode 5; Surviving, Okay?! Issa and Nathan are in their vibe and back to sleeping over and making plans with each other when Issa gets a call from Molly informing her that her mom was in the hospital. Issa heads to the hospital to ask Molly what she needs and then goes to Molly’s apartment with Nathan to pick up clothes for her. While doing this errand, Nathan and Issa are spending time together and by the end of all that she ends up telling Nathan she loves him, and he doesn’t say it back. Back at the hospital, Molly is dealing with the heavy news that her mother had a stroke and that she maybe paralyzed, Let’s dig into these topics. 1. Nathan and Issa, how do we feel about reigniting a past relationship. Is it a good idea to go back? I feel like like a lot of Issa’s serious relationships are often repeats. She did it with Lawrence, and kind of it did it with Daniel and now she’s doing it with Nathan. I personally think depending on the situation, sometimes going back isn’t horrible, but if you are repeating that over and over with different past boyfriends, that maybe a red flag. 2. Molly dealing with her mom’s illness. I have written about this somewhat before, but as you get older, the awareness that your elders are getting older too really hits you. The awareness can often times scare you. It’s not the most pleasant thing to talk about or discuss, but it is necessary you know? Let’s talk. What do you think of this episode?
