Last week I talked about those New Year Resolutions that you may or may have not accomplished. Yesterday my Music Monday was “Next Lifetime” by Erykah Badu so I wanted to dig a little more into missed chances. Have you ever felt that you missed your chance with something or somebody? I know the thing to say is “what’s for you is for you” and yes to a certain extent about certain things that is definitely true. However, if we’re being real I think we all have those moments where we feel we missed out on an opportunity. Missed out on a chance, missed out on a love. I know I have. For me; my missed chance or a regret I have goes back to my college years. I wanted to pledge a sorority. I attempted to; went to the first interest meeting, something came up and I never followed back up that year or the year after. I know you can always pledge as a post grad, but it’s definitely not the same as during college years. So that is one of my missed chances or regret. As far as missed chances with somebody, ehhhh I can’t say I am really certain on that. When I think about all my past relationships or could be relationships; I don’t think anyone was that person for me. Honestly they were all toxic in some kind of way. So nope can’t say any missed chances with anybody. While it’s never a good thing or healthy to harp on regrets or missed chances I think it’s ok to be honest with yourself about things you would have done differently if you could. Do you have anything in your past that you would have done differently or any missed chances with someone that you thought was “the one?” Let’s Talk! From Jaime With Love
